CJH Land Pass The £110 Million Mark!

West Country Land and Development Agents, CJH Land Limited have now brokered transactions on land and property worth over £110 million during the last 2 years.

The Flax Bourton based company who specialise in the sale and acquisition of development land recently achieved this milestone, which coincided with the launch of their new website, www.cjh-land.co.uk

Director, Matthew Hiles, said “Being creative and using plenty of lateral thinking has been the key to the company’s success throughout the recent downturn in the property market”.

He said “ The current economic climate and property market means that you have to be a little more thorough and creative when selling development opportunities. Our understanding of what developers and banks require in order to sign off on land acquisitions has been very important in completing transactions. At times we have had to be more innovative and think ahead in order to get deals across the line”.

Orginally, part of the well known estate agents, CJ Hole, CJH Land has become a well established name within the development industry since the company began trading in the early nineties. CJH Land has sold some extremely, high-profile properties for development, such as the Great Western Dockyard next to the SS Great Britain and The Bridge House, Clifton in recent times.

Matthew Hiles said “Since the business was formed in the early 90’s, all aspects have grown substantially.Opportunities that we are currently involved in range from small, select development sites of 3 or 4 plots to large strategic sites and massive urban extensions approaching 1,000 acres. Whilst some of these projects are vast, our principles with an emphasis on service and creating value for our clients remain extremely important to us”.

The business has continued to grow and now acts for many National and Regional Housebuilders, Property Developers, Private Landowners , Farmers and Investors. They have even been contacted by other property agents to provide specific advice on residential development sites.

“I think one of the biggest endorsements for our business is the amount of land we are asked to sell by National Housebuilders. They know the industry better than anyone and they would not be asking us to dispose of their development land unless they have the confidence that it will be dealt with professionally and knowing that we are best placed to maximise its value” said Matthew.

The company whose offices are in Flax Bourton near Bristol and whom operate throughout the South West of the country are optimistic about the future for the development industry and the property market in general. ‘The last few years have been tough but all of the national house builders are in a much better position than they were 3 years ago and are all actively seeking development opportunities . They have adjusted to the market, there is far more activity than 18 months ago and we are busier than ever!’
