CJH Land has brokered a joint venture deal on a parcel of land earmarked for housing at Amberd Lane in Trull near Taunton.
The deal, between West of England Developments Ltd and Taunton-based Strongvox Homes, will see 30 homes built on the site – 20 of them will be executive detached homes with a further ten affordable homes.
CJH Land director Matt Hiles said: “This is a smart village location offering a picturesque setting close to open farmland with great views toward the Blackdown Hills. And yet the site is less than three miles from the centre of Taunton.” Trull, with a population of around 2,000 is surrounded by small hamlets creating a traditional Somerset village atmosphere.
Flax Bourton-based CJH Land has brokered a number of headline deals around the South West during the past 12 months from major housing schemes to smaller urban regeneration projects.
Matthew Hiles said joint ventures were becoming increasingly commonplace in the industry as housebuilders have linked up with landowners to share the initial costs of the development to help more schemes move forward.
“This scheme is in a great village location and will deliver prestige detached homes alongside much needed affordable homes for local people.”
